Accounting Intern

Corvac Composites has an immediate need for an Accounting Intern team member at our corporate office in Kentwood, Michigan. This position requires an individual with a professional understanding of accounting, analytics, and excel. This position will be part time and provide support where needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Using Excel to extract data from the ERP system to produce meaningful reports
- Preparing reconciliations and assisting with month-end related tasks
- Assist in Audit process (gathering requests and support)
- Provide backup for Financial reporting system (Prophix)
- Prepare daily financial statements
- Other tasks as needed
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Minimum two (2) years of college in business related field.
- 0-3 years of working experience in a corporate environment is desired.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in excel
- A willingness to learn new things.
- Exceptional analytical, critical reasoning, and communication skills along with solid attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to be well organized, learn new tasks quickly, define process improvements, and strive for success.
