Project Management Intern
SUMMARY: The project management intern is responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects while ensuring they meet objectives, stay within budget, and are completed on time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include, but not limited to the following.
• Develop and communicate professional working relationships with management, personnel, clients, subcontractors, vendors, owners, and architects.
• Maintain and work with all divisions to continue our culture according to our core values.
• Interpret the project proposal and develop a work plan that ensures timely and on-budget delivery of the project scope.
• Research, pre-qualify, and procure professional services such as geotechnical engineering, civil engineer, and architectural services as needed per project.
• Prepare, edit, monitor, communicate and control the construction schedule, budget, and design.
• Prepare the construction delivery project schedule with the input of the Field Project Manager and Superintendent.
• Compile, final review and present the budget and schedule for each phase of projects within your Region.
• Act as the PCC’s point of contact during the Construction phase. Includes coordination and communication with the clients/owners as it pertains to the project plan, interim coordination, project status, and final project delivery.
• Facilitate client/owner meetings such as preconstruction meetings, weekly project meetings, final walkthrough meetings and close out meetings.
• Coordinate purchase orders, professional subcontracts, and owner executed agreements with our Pre-Construction Manager.
• Affirm selected building sports products and specifications with the assistance of the Salesman, Estimator, Field Project Manager and Superintendent.
• Perform daily budget, schedule and scope of work reviews as it pertains to each project in process.
• Help to coordinate and schedule site employees, equipment, and materials to complete the project according to the design documents.
• Create project specific planning and training to crews for means and methods and execution of scope of work.
• Travel to and between the job sites as needed for development of plans, relationships, and overall project design needs.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• ASBA Certified (within 2 years)
• Ability to lead and motivate on-site teams, including sub partners, laborers and vendors ensuring that everyone works efficiently and adheres to project plans.
• Expertise in planning, coordinating, and executing construction tasks in line with project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
• Deep understanding of construction techniques, materials, and building codes to make informed decisions and troubleshoot issues on-site.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, vendors, contractors and owners.
• Capability to quickly identify and address issues or delays that arise on the job site, finding practical solutions to keep the project on track.
• Proficiency in managing time and resources effectively to ensure that tasks are completed on schedule and within the project timeline.
• Knowledge of and adherence to safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with legal requirements.
• Attention to detail to monitor work quality, ensure that it meets project specifications, and address any deficiencies promptly.
• Ability to coordinate the activities of various trades and ensure that work sequences are properly scheduled and executed.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders, and reporting to upper management.
• Understanding of local, state, and federal regulations related to construction to ensure that all work complies with legal standards.
• Ability to manage client expectations, provide updates, and address any concerns or changes requested by the client.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions on-site, such as weather delays, material shortages, or changes in project scope.

The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the outdoor, indoor, or loud areas. Where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection. Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in typical office environment.
