Manufacturing Engineering Intern Fall and Winter
Webasto Roof Systems, Inc. is currently recruiting for a Fall & Winter Manufacturing Engineering Intern located in their New Hudson, Michigan facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for identifying engineering solutions to the manufacturing process, synchronous manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques
- Participate in continuous improvement projects, such as lean manufacturing initiatives, Six Sigma projects and Kaizen events for operational excellence
- Responsible for documenting process changes, creating deviations and PECR and PFMEA updates
- Update work instructions and train operation team on utilizing correct procedures
- Oversee facility project schedules and completion of these projects according to specific deadlines and timelines
- Assist in key engineering projects
- Participate in training programs that include operations and maintenance
- Product testing and related new product development activities
- Participate in root cause analysis activities
- Resolving internal quality related issues and complaints
- Process Improvement
Minimum Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage and coordinate multiple task concurrently
- Must be obtaining a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or similar field required
- Self-starter
