Summer 2025 Intern- Cross Policy Integration & Secretariat- Division of Supervision & Regulation
About the Role
Cross Policy Integration and Secretariat (CPI) coordinates S&R’s policy efforts by aligning policy priorities across domestic and international work. Team members collaborate closely with internal (across S&R and other Divisions) and external stakeholders through their secretariat roles for policy committees, international engagement initiatives, and domestic priority work.
Primary responsibilities of the role:
- Support CPI’s various secretariat responsibilities.
- Facilitate issuance of S&R’s external and internal guidance letters.
- Contribute to enhanced communication efforts across Policy, including assessment and analysis of domestic and international positions on priority topics.
Over the course of the internship, the student will:
- Deepen understanding of the Federal Reserve’s policy priorities and how policy initiatives are accomplished.
- Learn structure of organizations responsible for domestic and international policy.
- Enhance communication and collaboration skills with different audiences, e.g., staff, management, and principals.
- Interact with and gain exposure to S&R policy leaders.
Suggested Education/Majors: Public policy, political science, government studies, business/finance/banking, public administration, communications or a related area of study.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated oral presentation skills to various audiences
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and synthesize large sums of information
- Ability to exercise critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Willingness to learn new topics and provide summaries, thoughts, and proposals.
Additional Notes
- Anticipated Work Environment: This internship can be completed fully remote OR in a hybrid capacity in Washington, DC.
- US Citizenship is required for all Board internships and applicants must be current students, graduating from their program Fall 2025 or later.
