OUWB Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism Intern

Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine (OUWB) seeks a multi-faceted communications, public relations, or journalism student for the Fall 2024 semester with primary skills in one or more of the below areas of interest:

• Journalism

• Photography

• Content Creation

• Writing

In this position, you will build upon the primary skill set learned in the classroom and apply it to communications initiatives for OUWB. Successful candidates will receive assignments that include attending OUWB-specific events, writing profiles, features and other creative content for the OUWB News section of the website as well as the school’s online and print magazines.

Additional responsibilities include proofreading communications, assisting with daily coordination of event marketing projects, general website content management, and photography.

Upon application, candidates should be able to demonstrate strong writing experience and a willingness to learn about the primary skill areas listed above.
