Investor Relations Intern

Internship Title: Investor Relations Specialist 

Company Overview: The Center for Societal Aspiration is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to rehabilitating vulnerable members of our community. The CSACO will currently serve individuals facing challenges such as addiction, homelessness, or poverty. Our organization offers a comprehensive range of programs encompassing Health & Human Services and Career Services. Harnessing artificial intelligence (AI) and mobile technology, we deliver an intensive and personalized approach to care while providing access to an array of healthcare professionals and career mentors.

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic volunteer Investor Relations Specialist Intern to join our team at Humano Maximus. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in social enterprise investor relations and fundraising, with a focus on outreach, pitching to potential investors, and strengthening relationships with financial supporters. As an intern, you will play a critical role in helping us secure the funding necessary to scale our impact and bring our innovative solutions to more communities in need.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investor Outreach: Identify and reach out to potential investors and donors who align with Humano Maximus’s mission and values. Utilize networking strategies to expand the organization’s pool of supporters.
• Pitch Development: Collaborate with the leadership and marketing teams to create compelling pitch decks, presentations, and promotional materials that effectively communicate Humano Maximus’s mission, impact, and funding needs.
• Investor Meetings: Assist in scheduling, preparing for, and participating in meetings with current and prospective investors. Present key information about Humano Maximus’s initiatives and outcomes to secure funding commitments.
• Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with investors, providing regular updates and ensuring they feel valued and engaged with the organization’s progress and impact.
• Follow-Up and Communication: Manage follow-up communications after investor meetings, ensuring timely responses and ongoing engagement. Tailor messages to address specific investor interests and concerns.
• Event Participation: Assist in organizing and hosting investor events, both virtual and in-person, designed to showcase Humano Maximus’s achievements and future plans. Engage with attendees to build rapport and encourage investment.
• Market Research: Conduct research on trends in social impact investing and the tech for good sector. Identify potential investors based on these trends and tailor outreach efforts accordingly.
• Database Management: Keep detailed records of investor interactions and outcomes. Ensure that all contacts and communications are accurately tracked and organized for future reference.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Business, Social Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to confidently pitch ideas and engage with high-level stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of fundraising principles and investor relations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with CRM systems or investor databases is a plus.
