At Jacobs, we’re transforming intangible ideas into innovative solutions designing the future - today. As an Architectural Intern with our Advanced Facilities Business, you will too. Our Specialized Manufacturing team is looking for interns with an interest in designing state-of-the-art facilities and solving issues at the heart of our clients' business. This internship will be linked to one of the following locations: Appleton, WI, Fort Worth, TX, Greenville, SC, or Pittsburgh, PA. 

Architecture Internship positions at Jacobs provide college students the opportunity to gain real-world experience in their specific area of design study. Working in a dynamic, transdisciplinary professional environment provides interns with valuable experience applying knowledge and skills learned through their academic curriculums in a business environment while working alongside dedicated, experienced, and talented design professionals. You’ll be immersed in the process of creating multiple facility designs and drawings through freehand sketches and the use of design software such as AutoCAD and Revit. Alongside senior designers, you’ll be able to scale, model, and construct world-class work for our clients across the globe. You will help us design state-of-the-art heavy industrial, research & development, and specialized manufacturing facilities, powering our virtual world today and into the future. You'll be part of a team performing conceptual, layout, and detailed designs while coordinating design and construction activities, studies, and analyses.

Here's what you'll need

 

  • Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program for Architecture, Architectural Engineering or another closely related field
  • Interest in designing facilities
  • Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible way, both in person and in writing

 

Ideally, you’ll also have: 

  • Previous internship experience with a design/consulting firm or manufacturing company
  • Familiarity with Revit or other 3D software

The base salary range for this position is $48,000.00 to $73,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
