Environmental Engineering Intern

Internship opportunities exist across our footprint, and you may be assigned to a location based on availability. These locations include operating sites in Burns Harbor and New Carlisle in Indiana.
As an Environmental Engineering Intern, projects in which an intern will participate will vary, depending on education level and plant, but will model the duties below to the extent possible.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Assist with environmental data acquisition, management, and reporting processes supporting adherence to Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act and Resource Conservation & Recovery Act requirements
- Assist with special projects and environmental investigations supporting environmental compliance with applicable permits and rules
- Assist with other environmental programs such as energy efficiency, waste minimization, GHG emissions reduction, and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
- Other projects as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Enrollment in Bachelor of Science program in the field of Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or other related technical degree
- Completion of at least sophomore year of study by the summer of 2025
