Sales Support Intern (Summer 2025)

What will you do?

  • Responsible for providing sales support functions to U.S. outside sales team
  • Utilize tools to create bill of material and generate quotes / proposals
  • Collaborate with sales support team members, presales, and field service to gather supporting information to complete quotes / proposals.
  • Other job essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • o Leverage client data base to develop sales opportunities for upsell and cross sell
  • o Support and promote targeted marketing campaigns to existing installed base
  • o Hybrid / Flexible work schedule
  • o Duration: Up to 6 months with the opportunity to convert to a full-time role

What skills will make you successful? 

  • Pursuing a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree, graduating December 2025 or Summer 2026
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently
  • Excellent MS office and presentation development skills
  • Highly organized and disciplined
  • Planning - Ability to develop, communicate and execute both tactical and strategic sales plans
  • Deep desire to Learn - Possesses key leadership attributes: Strong personal conviction, vision, strong emotional bonds, inspirational, team orientated, risk taker, and driven to excel
  • Cultural sensitivity - Ability to participate in a highly diverse teams to achieve superior results
  • Judgment - Ability to think and act independently and exhibit consistently sound business judgment and an action-oriented ability to take measured risks and take responsibility for the consequences
  • Familiarity with engineer/mechanical and software technology products (preferred)
  • Strong contract negotiations and closing skills (preferred)
  • Preferably located in Houston, TX. This role does not provide funding for relocation
