Intern - Ethics & Compliance

Become a part of our diverse culture of learning, development, and mentorship as an Intern – Ethics & Compliance in Summer 2025. 

Your education is just the beginning – you’ll become an active member of our Legal Ethics & Compliance team located in Pittsburgh, PA. During our 12-week internship program, you’ll tackle real-world challenges through impactful assignments, and work alongside our industry changemakers. 

The Intern – Ethics & Compliance will gain knowledge and exposure to the daily operations of Howmet Aerospace’s Ethics & Compliance and Legal teams.

Intern Impact Project: Compliance Connections

The Intern – Ethics & Compliance will work to create a year-long communications plan addressing compliance topics including Conflicts of Interests, Gifts, Hospitalities, and Travel, Financial Fraud reporting, Data loss prevention and more. The plan will include effective communication with all employees, regardless of access to the company’s internal network.

A Day in the Life at Howmet…

In addition to your impact project work, you’ll have the opportunity to: 

• Assist with planning and implementing Ethics & Compliance projects related to trainings, communications, and assessing Third-Party Risks;

• Work with the Ethics & Compliance team to manage reports coming into the Integrity Line, Howmet Aerospace’s financial fraud reporting line;

• Gain exposure to how Ethics & Compliance works with Human Resources, Legal, Information Security, Internal Audit, and Finance to mitigate risks.

 

Your Education, Skills, and Experience: 
• Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s degree in business or a related field with a focus on pre-law with an expected graduation date in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026. 
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or equivalent 
• Demonstrated internship, work, research, or extracurricular participation
• Involved with at least 1 extracurricular activity
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Interns must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. 

Compensation for this internship opportunity ranges between $20- $22 per hour. (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, and/or location).

A relocation stipend in the amount of $3,000 will be provided to students located 50+ miles from the physical location of the internship.
