Exciting opportunity to be part of the Labcorp 2025 Global Internship Program as a Intern with our Anatomical Pathology Team in Madison, WI!

About the Team:

In this lab-based role within the Anatomical Pathology (Post Life Services) department, you’ll collect, document and manage data that includes animal observations, and you’ll work with animal samples and tissues daily.

 

Internship Assignment Summary:

  • Establish an understanding of basic lab practices, SOPs and study protocols in a multidisciplinary lab environment
  •  Perform basic necropsy or histology tasks on a variety of laboratory animals in compliance with the appropriate SOPs, GLPs, and regulatory guidelines
  • Monitor animal health and welfare in compliance with the Animal Health and Welfare Act and help maintain facilities for AAALAC compliance.
  • Attend training sessions to learn additional skills
  • Engage in professional development workshops to enhance your business acumen and professional presence

 

Education/Qualifications/Skills:

  • Working towards degree in Biology, Animal Science, or related life sciences
  • Strong communication, both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team setting
