The Position: We’re looking for an Advanced Purchasing Intern.
- Support the Advanced Industrial Operations team for North America in the early procurement activities of order acquisition and proposal and estimating phase. The activities will include pre-negotiations with suppliers, job sharing and make vs buy activities. The aim of the Advanced Industrial Operations team is to work closely with all the functions being accountable for matching the Comau offer developed with the execution strategy of the organization.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in supply chain discipline, preferably in 3rd or 4th year of program
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of Salesforce, SAP, Google Suite tools preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the team with day to day operations for supplier requests for information in regards to new project quotes
- Collaborate across the functions for on active and future projects
- Contribute to global Comau commodities strategies projects
- Participation in sales activities as related to the offer proposal
- Improve tools used to today for organizing supplier quotes
The Location: This position will be located in Southfield with remote work on Mondays and Fridays
