Engineering Intern
FEV offers interested interns for opportunities to work in highly motivated engineering teams. Each engineering intern is part of a team and receives project tasks and responsibilities within the group, which are mentored and supervised by an experienced project engineer.
The tasks include but are not limited to:
- Engine dynamometer testing of gasoline engines,
- Vehicle testing for emissions and performance and associated data handling,
- Processing presenting combustion and performance data,
- Engine and aftertreatment control strategy development
- Rapid control prototyping using MATLAB/Simulink/C environments and participate in internal FEV training and experience sharing activities.
- Must be able to drive a vehicle on road and have a valid driver’s license.
- Critical thinking to solve complex engineering problems by looking at collected test data.
- Local applicants from Michigan colleges at this time.
