Interns are carefully selected for one of the following Functional Areas (list may vary by project)
- Direct Material Procurement (Cabin, Chassis, Powertrain, or Aftersales)
- General Purchasing Services / Goods
- Purchasing Program Management
- Supply Chain Risk Management
- Procurement Processes & Systems

Responsibilities
What You’ll Do:
Potential projects could include:
- Vendor Consolidation Strategy and Tail Spend Analysis
- Establish process for Supplier Capacity/Lead time documentation
- Assist with data mining information to formulate Category Strategies– i.e.: Liaison with the Engineering teams to get technical details for the strategy
- Assisting in CSA negotiation and execution
- Optimization of Aftermarket processes and part number rationalization
- Creation and maintenance of Procurement dashboards and systems

Minimum Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
Additional Requirements
- Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B or F-1 status)
Desired Skills
- At least Sophomore standing for undergrad at the time of application
- Preference given to students pursuing degrees in: Supply Chain, General Business or Industrial Engineering
- Able to work at least 12 weeks (starting mid-to-late May through early August)
- Previous work experience
- High level of computer skills (Microsoft Applications and Internet)
- Excellent communication skills
- Interested in transportation/automotive industry
- Excellent time management skills
- Detail Oriented
- Team Player – willing to work with others inside and outside your department
