About the Starbucks Summer Internship Program:
Starbucks internships are paid, 10-12 week assignments (June – August 2025) at the Starbucks Support Center in Seattle - our corporate headquarters. About Starbucks Data, Analytics, & Insights:
Data, Analytics, Insights & Business Operations (DAIBO) helps Starbucks partners make decisions better with data, analytics, and insights. Our analyses and data products provide a view across Starbucks customers, stores, partners, supply chain, marketing, and more. Our analytics cloud ecosystem allows DAIBO partners to explore new data sources and create insights that reach across our business. You’ll influence our work on key projects that range from statistical analyses, to data visualization, to machine learning, to driving adoption of our tools and products. You will work closely with data analysists, decision scientists, and data scientists to answer enterprise business questions.
Data analyst intern in Data Science: Our team focuses on creating data-driven insights that inform business decisions in the marketing, product, and digital organizations. Our work ranges from descriptive analyses and ad-hoc deep dives, to predictive models and advanced data products. Our work is impactful, because we place a large emphasis on developing business acumen and stakeholder relationships.
We’d love to hear from students with:
Experience with data preparation: ability to summarize data, build data pipelines, automate data preparation processes.
Skill with coding: experience working with SQL and R/Python
Experience building statistical or machine learning models: hands-on experience and/or relevant coursework on statistical techniques (e.g., regression, t-tests, forecasting, etc.) or machine learning (e.g., random forests, clustering, etc.)
Preferred Experience:
- Familiar with SQL, R, or Python
- Strong interpersonal skills including excellent communication and the ability to collaborate and work well with others
- Data visualization skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving habits
- Experience presenting technical concepts in an accessible way
