What is This Opportunity?

The applicant will assist in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment. Under direct supervision/guidance, he/she will compile, analyze, test, and research data for newly designed or modified airbags.  This is a great opportunity for a student to gain experience in the automotive industry, working with a dynamic team of professionals from around the globe.  We are looking for a student to support full-time during the summer (40hr / week minimum) and reduce their schedule to part time when school resumes (20hr / week minimum). 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Undertakes and successfully completes simple or basic project/product development tasks.
• May assist in inventing / creating concepts and designs/approaches for new products.
• Designs, procures, and fabricates simple tooling and fixtures.
• Designs and coordinates engineering tests and experiments.
• Prepares standard reports/documentation to communicate results to technical team.
• Completes basic tasks on engineering documentation.
• SolidWorks knowledge is a plus.

Education and Experience:

• Seeking students in pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree who are interested in pursuing a career in Application Engineering
• Self-motivated, able to perform role with minimal supervision, taking ownership, with a sense of urgency
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
• Ability to work in a team environment to consistently achieve results
• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers
