Join us as an Engineering Intern and participate in a 10-12 week program consisting of technical training and work on an engineering project across multiple areas of reliability data gathering, organizing, analyzing, and strategizing. Job Duties (you may or may not be doing all duties while in the program)
- Develop and implement comprehensive Reliability programs, including:
- Risk Based Inspection (RBI)
- Mechanical integrity programs
- Inspection program development
- Facility or equipment condition assessment
- Application of API codes and technical standards (API 510, 570, 571, 574, 580, and 581)
- Work independently to complete project deliverables and tasks such as organizing and verifying technical data using applicable software (data examples may include piping materials, dimensions, pressure, and temperature captured through documents such as Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams, engineering drawings and code forms)
- Extract and verify technical data (metallurgy, temperatures, pressures, thicknesses, etc.) from documents such as Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), engineering construction drawings, and code forms
- Generate risk profiles for entire operating facilities
- Participate in Asset Optimization studies using primary data sources such as Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), heat and material balance, P&IDs, and isometrics provided by the client for fixed equipment and piping systems
- Utilize multiple software solutions to maximize the effectiveness of our services
- Deliver a final presentation to share all you have learned and accomplished during your time at Pinnacle
- Demonstrate effective time management skills to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks
- Achieve, maintain, and accurately report performance metrics
- Recognize inefficiencies and facilitate innovation that results in significant improvements

Required Qualifications/Skills/Competencies
- Completed a minimum of three years at an accredited university in any Engineering program
- Academic success in field of study
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong aptitude for learning new processes and techniques
- Willingness to relocate to Pasadena, TX for the duration of the internship - relocation assistance and one-time housing stipend provided
Equipment and Software Knowledge
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office
Working Environment
- Conditions may include working inside and/or outside. May work around office machinery with moving parts and moving objects. Working near radiant and electrical energy. Working closely with others or working alone. Working extended or irregular hours and travelling by all possible modes of transportation.
Physical Job Requirements
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel, push, stoop, reach above the shoulder, grasp, pull, bend repeatedly, climb stairs, identify colors, hear with aid, see, write, count, read, speak, analyze, lift and carry under 30 lbs., and perceive depth.
