Summer 2025 Internship - HR/Multicultural Outreach

What you can expect in this position: Under the direction of the Manager/Supervisor, performs assigned tasks and/or projects related to the area-specific internship. The Versiti Multicultural Outreach Internship provides an overview to various aspects of the Community Outreach team.  This internship will give exposure to our community outreach efforts in targeted communities throughout metro Milwaukee and across the Versiti footprint.  It will also assist in multicultural outreach/advocacy/education programs and events to raise awareness of blood & organ and tissue donation among underserved populations.  It provides the opportunity to work on projects that have a measurable impact on our business while being coached and mentored by fellow team members.       This internship is designed to help gain professional and diverse experience through a hands-on approach in learning about developing and executing targeted campaigns and event activation for underserved communities.  This team offers long lasting career learning through the development of transferable skills, which reaches into a broad spectrum of educational backgrounds and studies.        Here at Versiti, we are blood health innovators who enhance lives through discovery, diagnosis, and treatment.  We are excited to share this with you through our Continuous Improvement/Multicultural Outreach Internship.   

When you will work?

  • This is a full-time, 40 hour per week internship, working Monday-Friday. The internship will begin on June 2nd. Our 10 - week summer internships are designed to provide hands-on, project-based experience in various areas of our business.

  • Participate in cross functional CapStone Intern Project with report out to Executive Leadership.
  • Maintains effective communication with internal and external stakeholder via email, phone and in person meetings.
  • Participate and contribute to department meetings, execute on goals and objectives to deliver outstanding results.
  • Assists with special projects as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification
  • Understands and performs in accordance with all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Complies with all standard operating policies and procedures

Education

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university program in a related field of the internship. required

Experience

  • Completed a minimum of 2 years in college/university in a related field of study for the internship preferred
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Effective communication skills preferred
  • Ability to be customer-focused and follow through on requests promptly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills preferred
  • Ability to quickly and accurately understand instructions and then work independently on assignments preferred
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately preferred
  • Demonstrates keen attention to detail preferred
