2025 University Recruiting- Bioanalytical Intern

Our Company Research Lab's PCD Outsourcing group within the Pharmacokinetic, Dynamics, Metabolism and Bioanalytics (PDMB) department provides oversight for all PDMB discovery and development work supported at external Contract Research Organizations (CROs).  The PCD Outsourcing group is seeking summer interns to use AI and leverage existing PK data to minimize running standard curves on each assay run.

 

Learning opportunities for the prospective intern are:

Get experience collaborating with both research and finance teams and become familiar with the research budget forecasting process.

Get valuable industry experience working on a real-life project that potentially can be expanded to support work in multiple functional areas.

Opportunity to enhance database creation, automation skills, and AI expertise.

 

The selected intern will learn various skills which will include handling large data and leveraging AI to generate meaningful data in the pharmaceutical landscape. The candidate will also get an overview of pharmacokinetics, bioanalysis in general, and will get some understanding of clinical trials. Finally, there is a good likelihood that the candidate will author at least a poster to be presented at an external conference, and possibly a manuscript. The candidate will also develop soft skills including working across functions and also interacting with CROs.

 

Location: West Point, PA, Rahway, NJ or Remote

 

This is a full-time internship position. Housing subsidy is not available as part of this program and must be funded 100% by the student.

 

Required Education:

Candidates must be a currently enrolled undergraduate junior or senior student pursuing a bachelor’s degree or enrolled in a graduate program pursuing a master’s or PhD in computer science or a related discipline. MS or equivalent in computer science.

 

Required Experience and Skills:

Candidates must be available to work full-time for up to (12) consecutive weeks beginning in May or June of 2024.

Candidates must have completed at least (1) year of studies toward the graduate program by June 2024.

Familiarity with AI/ML is required.

 

Preferred Experience and Skills:

Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite

Experience in SQL and/or Python is preferred

Experienced in database creation and computer automation

Handing large data sets is preferred

Ability to quickly learn and adapt

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and collaboration skills. 

Ability to learn quickly and collaborating across functions is desired.

GPA of 3.0 or higher.

 

 

Under New York City, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected salary range:

$39,600.00-$105,500.00
