We showcase rising and established comedians while providing fresh, humorous content to our audience. With over 32,000 followers on social media and growing, we’re building a one-stop destination for all things comedy.

Position Overview:
We are looking for creative and passionate writers to join our team! As a SlapStik Comedy writer, you will have the opportunity to:

• Write for our blog and quarterly magazine, SlapStik Comedy Magazine.
• Contribute three articles per month focused on entertainment, comedy, and humor.
• Optionally, conduct one comedian interview per month in addition to writing your articles.

This role is perfect for individuals interested in the entertainment industry, with a knack for storytelling and humor. You’ll gain valuable experience in content creation, entertainment journalism, and interviewing talents within the comedy scene.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write three engaging, humorous articles each month (topics can range from comedic trends to entertainment news).
• (Optional) Conduct and write up one interview with a comedian each month.
• Research and stay up-to-date on industry trends, comedians, and entertainment news.
• Collaborate with our editorial team to develop fun, fresh content ideas for our audience.

Qualifications:

• Passion for writing, especially in entertainment, comedy, or humor.
• Interest in or experience conducting interviews (optional but preferred).
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet monthly deadlines consistently.
