Advanced Packaging Flow Development Intern – Siemens EDA
Are you passionate about electronics and eager to work on cutting-edge technology in the semiconductor industry? Siemens EDA, a global leader in Electronic Design Automation (EDA), is seeking a talented and motivated student to join our IC Packaging Applications Engineering team. This is a paid internship where you’ll work on groundbreaking 2.5D and 3D IC packaging applications. What You’ll Do:
- Develop automated workflows and scripts to streamline manual tasks and enhance tool interfaces.
- Test and document new workflows, contributing to the creation of application notes.
- Collaborate with the team to create cross-platform EDA tool solutions for advanced 3D-IC designs.
- Utilize your scripting skills to manipulate various data formats, enabling smooth data flow between design tools.
Key Qualifications:
- Currently a Junior or above pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science, residing in the Portland/Wilsonville, OR area.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Tcl, or Perl is essential.
- Working knowledge of EDA data formats (Verilog, LEF/DEF, GDS, OASIS, etc.) is a plus.
- Comfortable working in both Windows and Linux environments.
- Previous coursework or experience in one or more of the following areas is beneficial:
- Advanced packaging solutions like Si Interposer or FOWLP.
- ASIC design methodology from RTL to Physical Implementation.
- EDA tools like Siemens Calibre, Synopsys PrimeTime, or Cadence Voltus.
- Package Design with tools such as Cadence APD/SiP or Siemens Xpedition.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
