SUMMARY
The Finishing Process Improvement Intern will be a hands-on internship that will engage the student in many important programs impacting modern foundry operations and manufacturing. This internship will participate on major projects addressing manufacturing process improvements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Evaluate and improve process flow of castings through various finishing cells, i.e.: layout of equipment, ergonomics, and automation.
- Evaluate communication and interaction with team, gather ideas, gain consensus, and implement actions.
- Work with supervision to identify departmental processes concerning plant safety and automation.
- Promotes the culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company. This includes adherence to and promotion of the company safety beliefs, employee engagement, competencies, code of conduct, and other policies and procedures.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field from a four-year college or university.
