Minimum Salary: $21.66 (Non-Engineering Students) and $24.42 (Engineering Students)

Position Description: 
Interns will be assigned to a variety of projects ranging from grading, concrete paving, asphalt surfacing, and bridge construction. Duties will consist of assisting the Project Engineer and engineering staff with sampling and testing of the materials, conducting inspections to assure work confirms to specifications, and assisting the survey crew. The interns will also have the opportunity to learn the process of construction administration. Duties are primarily performed outdoors and may be physical in nature. 

Qualifications: 
Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply. By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program. 

All students are encouraged to apply, but preference may be given to applicants with a standing of junior/senior, South Dakota residents, and students of South Dakota institutions.
