Internship Program Overview:

Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Our goal is to provide students with a meaningful work experience that will equip them with the skills to embark on a career in the fast-paced and growing semiconductor industry after graduation. As an intern at GF, you’ll experience one-on-one mentorship, work assignments that prioritize your growth and potential, professional development opportunities, and the chance to network with executives.

 

Summary of Role:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Corporate Event Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event planning and execution within a fast-paced corporate setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for organizing events and a keen interest in the technology sector.

Essential Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the planning and coordination of corporate events, including conferences, trade shows, and employee gatherings.
  • Support logistics management, including venue selection, catering, and transportation arrangements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop event agendas, promotional materials, and attendee communications.
  • Help manage event registration processes and track attendee feedback.
  • Participate in on-site event setup and breakdown, ensuring all aspects run smoothly.
  • Conduct research to identify potential event opportunities and industry trends.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including budget tracking and vendor communication.

 

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Education – At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s in Marketing, Communications, Business, Event Management or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.
  • Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
  • Travel - Up to 10%
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience.
  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
  • Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning & organizational skills.
  • Graphic design experience is a plus.
  • Previous experience in event planning or coordination is a plus, but not required.
  • A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.

Expected Salary Range

$20.00 - $40.00

 

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
