Department Overview
The Quality Management Office (QMO) is a department in the IT Professional Services Organization (PSO) division in Information Technology that strives to significantly reduce risk, increase business partner satisfaction and support the delivery of accurate, high-quality IT solutions. It is responsible for the quality assurance activities of quality control and testing. Quality Assurance determines if a project is complying with policies and processes, and includes performing quality audits, correcting deficiencies, and identifying process improvements. Quality Control measures specific project results against standards and includes test execution, reporting defects, and validating defect corrections. Quality assurance emphasizes preventing defects and quality control emphasizes detecting defects. The QMO will focus on Quality and Testing strategies, and includes creating and maintaining consistent, flexible Quality and Testing models, processes, systems and standards, to ensure that it is delivering service, knowledge and value to the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
The Intern position is designed for student workers who are still completing their education. The internship program is designed to provide practical work experience as well as exposure to our business environment. Intern positions are of limited duration and are designed to provide daily oversight with emphasis on training and development of the student.
Summary Of Qualifications
- Status as a college student or recent college graduate of an educational institution
- Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- Experience working with various Microsoft Office programs
- Experience interpreting and communicating information orally and written
- Experience researching and analyzing data
- Experience working independently as well as in a team environment
- Experience identifying and solving problems
- Must have a 3.0 GPA or consistent work/extracurricular activities if lower
- Experience with highly confidential information and logical thinking preferred
- Pursuit of a degree in Computer Science or Mathematics preferred
- Completion of at least one Computer Science class where software development/programming was apart of coursework preferred
- Interest in Application Development/Software Quality Assurance preferred
- Basic knowledge of computer programming preferred (Ex: .Net, Java, OOP Concepts Object Oriented Programming, Control Flow, and Data Structures.)
- Basic knowledge of database and SQL queries preferred
- Basic knowledge of Tableau preferred
- Basic knowledge of coding in Java preferred
- Basic knowledge of JIRA and Agile methods preferred
- Basic knowledge of software testing preferred
- Basic knowledge of Selenium preferred
- TOSCA Certification preferred
- Previous internship experience preferred
