Viking Gymnastics & Dance seeks a compassionate and dependable individual to lead our intermediate and advanced recreational gymnastics program. The Advanced Recreational Gymnastics Leader will play a pivotal role in our gym, working full-time with evening and weekend shifts. This position includes both administrative and in the gym responsibilities, with at least one consistent weekly coaching shift.
Responsibilities:
- Supervises, hires, trains, and provides work direction to intermediate and advanced recreational gymnastics staff
- Identify program needs and manage staff schedules
- Maintain curriculum and create lesson plans
- Recognize staff training needs and facilitate continuing education opportunities
- Ensure positive family experiences and uphold company values
- Lead and attend recreational gymnastics meetings
- Organize intermediate and advanced skills clinics
- Coordinate House Competitions
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience leading a gymnastics gym or large gymnastics program
- Proficiency in gymnastics skill progressions, safety, and current best practices
- Previous competitive gymnastics coaching experience
- Professional demeanor with a compassionate approach
- Strong organizational skills
- Passion for working with children to foster confidence and growth
