CASE Graduate Trainee Program 2025-2026

The CASE Graduate Trainee program is an opportunity for postgrads to launch their careers in advancement. 

Trainees complete a year-long residency at a host institution, where they receive onsite training and develop a range of skills. It’s a great way to begin a career while getting direct support and training from one of the largest associations for educational advancement professionals.

Past CASE Graduate Trainees have been placed in major gifts and annual giving roles at Oregon State University, Dartmouth, Penn State University, North Carolina State University, Boston University, Ohio University, St. Leo University, and the University of California, Davis.

 

Program Length: 

July 2025 - June 2026

 

Compensation

Entry-level salary determined by host institution professional development

 

Location:

Locations for positions will vary based on the available colleges and universities each year. New college and universities are added to the program each year!

 

Learn fundraising fundamentals, including:

• Prospect research

• Building a case for support

• Donor cultivation and gift solicitation strategy

•The art of “making the ask.”

• Donor stewardship

 

CASE Benefits

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must obtain a baccalaureate degree before the first day of the trainee orientation (July 2025) and be interested in entering the education fundraising profession. The trainee cannot currently be a regular full-time employee of the host institution. International students are welcome to apply, but they must know that neither CASE nor the host institution provides sponsorship.
