EHS Internship
Mission: Contributes to the site’s EHS program in the following areas: Safety, Working conditions and Ergonomics, Environmental protection, energy management
Responsibilities:
- Identifies unsafe conditions and environmental risks and recommends action plans.
- Performs safety audits.
- Contributes to Top safety observation program.
- Performs shop floor inspections related to EHS work (security checks/ systems and installations
- compliance).
- Can contribute in collaboration with Management and MRO buyer, to source and validate appropriate
- personal protective equipment
- Checks the conformity of each new installation, production means and of each chemical product used on site.
- Participate with sub-contractors and maintenance team to establish the prevention scheme.
- Keeps all necessary documentation up to date.
Qualifications:
- Able to start this internship right away.
- Able to work minimum of 30 minimum hours a week.
- Able to work 1 year minimum.
- Able to work on site at the plant location (Manor, TX).
- Willing to learn and support the team.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering or health safety and environment (Sophomore level).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Resilience.
