Purchasing Intern

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Purchasing Intern to join our team.

 

Position Details:

  • Clean Up SAP Scheduling Agreements
    • Review and revise existing SAP scheduling agreements to ensure accuracy and consistency.
    • Identify and rectify discrepancies or errors in scheduling agreements.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to update and streamline procurement data in SAP.
  • Manage Component Drawings and Integration
    • Organize and maintain component drawings according to established guidelines.
    • Coordinate with engineering and design teams to obtain updated component drawings.
    • Integrate component drawings into SAP scheduling agreements and other relevant documentation.
  • Microsoft Excel Data Management
    • Utilize Microsoft Excel to compile, organize, and analyze procurement-related data.
    • Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets to track purchasing activities, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
    • Implement data validation and cleansing techniques to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Develop Presentations
    • Utilize supplier scorecards to create presentations that aid in identifying optimal sourcing options.
    • Focus on achieving the best possible outcomes in quality, cost, and timing.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather relevant data for effective decision-making.

 

Location:

This internship will be an on-site position in Auburn Hills, MI. Reliable transportation is required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, required.
  • Experience researching market trends, maintaining work documents, and working with SAP, preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Availability of at least 20 hours per week.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when required.
