2025 Summer Information Technology Intern- Graduate

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

 

This role is part of Digital Business Solutions - Information Technology. The role is responsible for assisting the function in delivering creative and innovative technology solutions to achieve maximum business benefit across every facet of RAI and its operating companies. This summer, you’ll gain exposure to real-world projects and established professionals who want to help you succeed. That includes access to our c-suite leadership. You will exercise initiative, creative problem-solving skills, teamwork, and leadership as you interact with other personnel throughout our winning organization. In addition, you will have fun while adding value and encountering outstanding career development support. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Completing a real world, business project. Sample projects include: 
  • Create data ingestion capabilities to support data and analytics 
  • Creating system architecture mappings 
  • Advanced analytics data modelling 
  • Brand websites and marketing tool initiatives 
  • Deliver creative and innovative IT and digital solutions 
  • Execute exciting assignments 
  • Collaborate with teams across the Digital Business Solutions function as well as cross-functionally throughout the business 
  • Present your findings to our leadership team

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Pursuing a graduate degree with completed coursework in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field 
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills 
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Software Development (Java, Python, SQL, etc.) 
  • Project / Team Leadership skills 
  • Willing to relocate to Winston-Salem, NC for the summer

SALARY AND BENEFITS OVERVIEW

Wage Information

Hourly Rate: Undergraduate Rate: $21.00 per hour / Graduate Rate: $38.50 per hour
