Project Management Internship (Comedy)

Each department in SlapStik Comedy will have a dedicated Project Manager responsible for overseeing team operations, tracking progress, and ensuring smooth communication between team members and Mecha Swain, Founder & CEO. The Project Managers will act as the primary point of contact for their respective teams, handling daily tasks and ensuring that deadlines are met efficiently. The Project Manager intern will be expected to work 10 hours per week, overseeing team activities and ensuring effective communication and progress tracking.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Coordination: Project Managers will track team member tasks and ensure all deadlines are met. They will be responsible for organizing workloads and making sure projects are completed on time.
  • Communication: Serve as the bridge between their team and Mecha Swain, providing updates, raising concerns, and keeping everyone aligned with the overall company goals. They will conduct weekly check-ins with team members to keep communication clear and consistent.
  • Performance Evaluations: Each Project Manager will be responsible for evaluating the performance of their team members. This includes providing feedback, tracking individual progress, and ensuring team growth and productivity.
  • Meeting Attendance: Project Managers must attend the Sunday meetings, which are scheduled for 30 minutes. During these meetings, they will report on their team’s progress and any obstacles or needs for the upcoming week.
  • Team Check-ins: Project Managers will hold regular check-ins with their team to ensure tasks are on track and to address any issues before they become roadblocks.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage deadlines across multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills to relay information clearly and manage expectations both up and down the chain.
  • Proven ability to evaluate performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Must be available for Sunday meetings.

This is an unpaid internship working 10 hours per week for 16 weeks. College credit can be earned.
