Meadow Brook Estate Education Assistant
Position Purpose
Meadow Brook Hall is seeking qualified applicants for part-time employment to assist the External Relations department with leading and executing education programs, including youth tours and events, art camps, and lectures.
Job Duties
Applicants are responsible for providing an enjoyable and meaningful experience for guests and for the interpretation of Meadow Brook Hall. Job duties include independently leading youth tours; crafts and programs, which includes setup and tear down; and learning and executing lesson plans/programs for a wide variety of audiences. Other related tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have good communication skills, a positive attitude, and be well-spoken and friendly. Also must have the ability to work independently. This position is ideal for anyone seeking classroom or educational experience.
Desired Qualifications
Experience or education in history, art, architecture or teaching can be helpful, although not required. Customer service experience and previous experience working with children is also desired.
Shifts/Days
Schedule may vary according to program needs and will include weekends and evenings, especially between Thanksgiving and Christmas, as well as during the Summer months when we offer Meadow Brook camps.
