POSITION SUMMARY:
The Tax Intern will support the corporate tax department with the reconciling of the general ledger accounts related to sales and use tax filings. This position will also be responsible for assisting in the preparation of sales and use tax returns.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare monthly sales tax reports for integration into tax return filings
- Investigate discrepancies and assist tax department in maintenance of tax rates for ERP system
- Assist with monthly account reconciliations and preparation of journal entries for indirect taxes
- Support tax department on data process, information gathering, and analytics
- Assistance with various other tax deliverables, tasks, and assignments as assigned by management
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Position located in our Fort Collins, Colorado Office
- Standard work environment
- Minimum 20 hours per week
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong PC skills in Windows-based environment.
- Experience working with excel is required.
- Familiarity with the following software packages is preferred: SAP, BW, BPC, and Microsoft Office Products
- Results oriented individual
- Self-starter and highly motivated
- Strong interpersonal, analytical skills required

EDUCATION:
- Currently enrolled in a university working towards a B.S. or M.S. Degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
- Upper classman or graduate students preferred.
- Minimum GPA: 3.0
COMPENSATION:
As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $18.00 to $22.00 per hour.
