Materials Intern

PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Materials Intern is to assist the team Materials Team in planning, coordinating, and executing projects. The Intern works closely with Program Management and Engineering Teams to develop, plan, and implement new business projects within the division.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

  • Participate in meetings 
  • Support the department with administrative tasks, emails, presentations & spreadsheets
  • Assist with project management 
  • Assist Team with labeling, filing and scanning 
  • Assist with Inventory and cycle counts
  • Comes to work each day, as scheduled
  • Approaches each day and each challenge with a positive attitude
  • Other duties as required

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Professional Communication skills (written and verbal) 
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving, financial, and time management skills. 
  • Knowledge of MS Office package, specifically Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Some of the physical demands of this position include sitting for prolonged periods of time, walking up and down staircases, occasional lifting, and occasional stooping and bending. Able to work 30-40 hours a week. 

 

EQUIPMENT / TOOLS USED:

Some of the equipment and tools used are computer, telephone, fax machine, copier/printer, and a projector. 

 

KNOWLEDGE:

Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 

 

EDUCATION: 

  • High School Diploma
  • Currently Attending a College or University
  • Degree towards Business, Supply Chain or Engineering preferred.
