Electrical Engineering Intern

We are looking for summer interns studying Electrical Engineering.
In this role, you will be working closely with the Giffin Design/Mechanical/Electrical engineering teams, assisting in Paint Finishing projects as it relates to Process, Conveyor, and Robotic Automation controls.
Typical Responsibilities:
- Review and understand customer project specifications
- Review electrical schematics, PLC logic, and HMI graphics
- Review Control panel fabrication
- Assist with determining electrical load utility requirements
- Assist with coordinating Building and Process equipment requirements
- Assist with creation & resolve electrical installation punch list
- Assist with equipment commissioning activities
- Maintain ISO/QOS company documentation requirements
Requirements:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Ability to work 40 hours a week
- Completed, at minimum, Sophomore year
- Interest in Manufacturing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Must be able to conduct vendor visits and project site visits including the use of PPE and ability to tour facilities which may include multi-floor levels.
