Camp Counselor for children
Work at a premier coed camp this summer!
COUNSELOR RESPONSIBILITIES
* All counselors live in cabins with our campers. On the Junior Campus (camper ages 6-13) there are typically 8-14 campers in each cabin with 2-3 college-aged staff members. On Teen Campus (camper ages 13-16) there are typically 18-24 teenagers in each cabin with 3-4 college-aged staff members.
* Keep your cabin neat & clean. Make sure your campers’ cubby/shelf area is neat & tidy. Counselors (not campers) clean & disinfect the cabin bathroom each day. Cabin Inspection takes place daily.
* Ensure good personal hygiene of your campers. Campers (and staff) must shower daily, brush teeth, change into clean clothes.
* Supervise your campers at all times. This is especially important when they’re not at a supervised activity.
* Participate & Assist in all day activities, evening activities, special events, and off-camp trips. This is key, since you’re the role model.
* Know your campers and their interests! This includes knowing their special dietary needs (gluten-free diet, allergic to nuts, etc).
* In addition, all counselors will be assigned to instruct camp activities throughout each day. These assigned activities depend upon your interest, qualifications, and experience.

* Instruction is geared to the camper's individual skill level, and is patient and thorough with due regard for both safety and enjoyment.
