Summer Internship Opportunity: Special Education Intern!

Join Latham Centers this summer as a Special Education Intern in our Children's Program! In this role, you will work on campus at our school. You will have the opportunity to work directly with students diagnosed with Prader-Willi Syndrome and individuals with a trauma background. Interns will work collectively with classroom teachers and educational administration to meet students' Individualized Education Plan goals and use Common Core in the classrooms.

Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license
The ability to handle children in crisis safely, and with compassion.

Latham offers housing based on availability!

Compensation: $18.82 per hour
Schedule: Flexible hours and work week, based on your school’s requirements!
Start Date: Jun 3rd, 2025

Key Responsibilities:   
Opportunities to meet graduation/practicum requirements
In cooperation with SPED teacher, plan and implement classroom-related activities.
Supervise students in classroom-related activities.
Work cooperatively with team members to implement IEP objectives.
Maintain the appearance of the classroom.
Record behavioral progress in individual tracking logs on a daily basis.
Understand and implement the school behavior management program.
