This position will assist our Director of Brand & Marketing to develop campaigns, create content, track metrics, manage our social media accounts and more. In addition to handling Figaro, our office dog and social media’s rising star!
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Figaro during office and concert hours
- Create and manage social media content for the Grand Rapids Symphony and Figaro
- Analyze social media metrics and provide reports on performance and recommendations for improvement
- Build GRS campaigns including emails, social media posts, website management, etc.
- At concerts: Interact with patrons at information table while gathering content
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
- Dog lover
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with social media platforms and tools, including Hootsuite, Buffer, and Google Analytics
- Excellent computer skills and basic knowledge of SEO and how it relates to social media
- Demonstrated organizational skills and an ability to work independently.
- Comfortable developing relationships and interacting with a variety of patrons in a positive, courteous, patient, and diplomatic manner.
- An interest in symphonic music and/or the arts is a plus!
