Developer Intern

JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the guidance and mentorship of experienced professionals, the intern will acquire an understanding of how to use LLMs such as Azure OpenAI and Microsoft Copilot Studio to assist in solving engineering and/or business problems. 


This role can provide valuable hands-on experience in the software field within a dynamic and supportive team environment, an opportunity to work on innovative projects with cutting-edge technologies, and mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals in the field.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Learn development practices for AI solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio.
  • Build AI chatbots that leverage generative AI prompts for responses.
  • Leverage Microsoft cloud solutions such as Azure AI studio, Microsoft Copilot Studio, and PowerAutomate to create business solutions.
  • Conduct research to discover, test and document best practices for a wide range of tasks relevant to our employees and clients using large language models.
  • Develop and maintain a library of high-quality prompts or prompt chains that can achieve a variety of tasks, along with an easy-to-use guide to help stakeholders find the best prompt for their needs.
  • Develop POC solutions using latest framework designs for LLM (i.e. RAG, using Graph databases, etc.)
  • Test AI/LLM solutions to ensure that functionality is as expected and within the parameters of the solution purpose.
  • Participate in knowledge transfer sessions on tasks and projects performed.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical documentation.
  • Attend meetings with users and colleagues as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

SKILLS NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Aptitude for working collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Awareness of ethical considerations and responsible AI practices.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Understanding of programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and software development methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and tools.
  • Previous internship or project experience in software development is a plus but not required.
