Civil Engineering Intern

We are currently searching for a talented Intern to join and grow with our Civil team!

Your options as a civil engineer are endless at SEH. You’ll engineer better communities -- complete streets, safer sidewalks, more sustainable utilities, and trails and parks. Others specialize in large-scale projects, like flood control facilities, dams, landfills, harbors/marinas, structural retaining walls and larger geotechnical projects. Regardless of the project, you’ll have your hands in the mix through all phases of a project: planning, pre-design, design, contract documentation, bidding and construction. As people walk, drive, bike or commute through a community or across a landscape, your expertise is positively impacting their daily lives.

This Opportunity:

  • Municipal engineering
  • Construction inspection
  • Environment reports and document processing
  • First-hand experience with potential overtime on a variety of projects

Essential Qualifications:

  • Actively enrolled in a Civil Engineering, Project Management or related undergraduate program
  • Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in construction inspection, monitoring, or supervision of work crews
  • Knowledge of roadway plan and specification reading
  • Previous experience or coursework in Transportation/Traffic, Survey, Hydraulics/Fluid Dynamics
  • Previous experience and working knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation
