Intern Position: Nonprofit Fundraising Intern

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Nonprofit Fundraising Intern to join our development team. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in nonprofit fundraising, community engagement, and donor relations. The Nonprofit Fundraising Intern will assist with corporate and community outreach, individual donor engagement, and support for fundraising campaigns, helping CSA strengthen its donor base and community partnerships.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Donor Engagement and Stewardship:
Assist in cultivating relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and community supporters. Support donor communication efforts, including thank-you letters, impact updates, and donor appreciation campaigns.

Fundraising Campaign Support:
Help plan and execute fundraising campaigns, including digital outreach, social media initiatives, and in-person events. Assist in crafting compelling narratives and appeals to encourage donations and increase campaign impact.

Community and Corporate Outreach:
Collaborate with the fundraising team to engage local businesses and community organizations. Support outreach efforts to build partnerships, secure sponsorships, and raise awareness for CSA’s programs and mission.

Research and Data Management:
Research prospective donors, corporate sponsors, and grant opportunities. Help maintain CSA’s donor database, ensuring accuracy in records and tracking donor interactions to inform future engagement strategies.

Event Coordination and Support:
Assist in organizing donor events, virtual gatherings, and community outreach activities. Coordinate event logistics and provide support on the day of the event to ensure a positive experience for attendees.

Reporting and Analytics:
Contribute to the creation of reports on campaign performance, donor trends, and partnership outcomes to guide strategic planning. Support data analysis to identify opportunities for growth and improvements in fundraising efforts.

 

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Interest in nonprofit fundraising, community relations, and corporate partnerships.

Strong communication skills, with an ability to create engaging and persuasive content.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with fundraising or CRM software is a plus.

A collaborative mindset and a proactive approach to building relationships.

Passionate about nonprofit work and committed to CSA’s mission of supporting vulnerable populations.

Role Type: Volunteer (Part-time)
Time Commitment: Approximately 8 hours per week, flexible schedule.
