Internship Position: Human Resources Recruiting Intern

Internship Overview:
CSA is seeking a dedicated and proactive Human Resources Recruiting Intern to support the HR team in recruiting and onboarding staff, volunteers, and interns. The intern will assist with sourcing candidates, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and managing the recruiting process. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in HR and recruitment within the nonprofit sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Candidate Sourcing:
Assist in sourcing candidates for various volunteer and staff roles, including researching potential candidates on job boards, social media platforms, and professional networks like LinkedIn.

Resume Screening:
Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates and help shortlist applicants for interviews.

Interview Scheduling & Coordination:
Coordinate interview schedules between candidates and hiring managers. Assist in sending out interview invitations, confirmations, and reminders.

Onboarding Assistance:
Help manage the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing welcome packets, scheduling orientation, and assisting with the completion of necessary documentation.

Job Postings & Advertisements:
Assist with creating and posting job descriptions on various online platforms. Help ensure job postings are accurate, compelling, and in line with CSA’s values.

Communication:
Serve as a point of contact for candidates throughout the recruiting process. Communicate effectively with candidates to update them on their application status.

Recruitment Reporting:
Track and maintain records of recruitment activities, such as candidate applications, interview feedback, and hiring outcomes.

Volunteer & Intern Engagement:
Assist in managing the volunteer and intern database, tracking their schedules, and supporting ongoing communication.

HR Administration:
Help with various HR-related administrative tasks, such as updating HR records, maintaining filing systems, and assisting with HR projects.

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.

Strong interest in human resources and recruiting, particularly within the nonprofit sector.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Comfortable using technology and HR software (experience with applicant tracking systems is a plus).

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote, team-oriented environment.

Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn in a dynamic nonprofit setting.

Time Commitment: Approximately 8 hours per week, flexible schedule.
