Slate is a new US company exploring development in the electric vehicle space.

Who we are looking for:

• Seeking a motivated candidate to join our team as a Senior Financial Analyst Intern for the Winter 2025 semester (January to April), with the option to work on either a part-time or full-time basis.
• Flexible work arrangements are available, with both remote and onsite opportunities depending on the candidate's location.

What you get to do:

• Contribute to the Finance department by leading the development of the company’s inaugural revenue report.
• Gain hands-on experience with the Workday Adaptive forecasting tool to enhance financial modeling and analysis.
• Support Commercial Finance initiatives focused on key drivers of revenue variance, including volume, mix, and pricing analysis.
• Present findings to senior leadership and contribute to their understanding of the largest drivers of the company’s profitability and gross margin in the strategic planning process

What you bring to the team:

• Minimum GPA of 3.2, with strong academic performance in relevant coursework.
• Currently pursuing an MBA or in the 4th year of a bachelor's degree in finance or related field.
• Solid understanding of Corporate Finance principles, with a demonstrated ability to apply financial concepts.
• Experience with Variance Analysis is a plus, showcasing strong analytical skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently, with the flexibility to thrive in a remote work environment or on-site at our Troy, MI office (remote opportunities available based on candidate location).
• Demonstrated passion for finance through active participation in finance-related clubs (e.g., Investment Management, Finance Club) or roles such as Treasurer for extracurricular organizations.
• Participation in the CFA exam process or pursuit of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification is a plus.
