Account Management Intern (Undergraduate- Summer 2025) - Specialty Pharmacy

You could be the one who changes everything for our 28 million members as an Intern at Centene. During this 12-week program, you'll learn more about Centene and how we're transforming the health of the community, one person at a time.
 

Position Purpose: This intern will be part of Pharmacy Services group and learn about various processes and functions within the Managed Care industry and develop professionally by contributing to projects that support the business.

  • Communicate project status and results to staff mentors and management
  • Build out processes and tools to enhance contracting process
  • Updating Salesforce with client and contracted program information
  • Develop competitive intelligence on the specialty pharmacy industry
  • Review provider payer networks across the country, perform analysis on data from ScriptMed to prioritize, then enroll in priority networks
  • Research Archer to determine if program-specific SOPs were created or only general SOP
  • Assist in creation of Account Management-specific SOPs with the assistance of other Account Managers
  • Refresh list of contracted payers, Pharmacy and Medical
  • Research competitor websites to identify their Specialty “Service Offerings”

Skills:

  • Knowledge or experience with specialty pharmacy is preferred
  • Attentive to details
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills

Pay Range: $18-23/hour



AcariaHealth: State pharmacy technician license relative to where the assigned pharmacy is located (exception being NY where a pharmacy technician license is not required). License required at the time of hire.
