Advertising Internship (Summer 2025) Lawrence & Schiller
LAWRENCE & SCHILLER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT KIND OF INTERNSHIP POSITIONS ARE OPEN? HOW MANY INTERNS DO YOU HIRE?
It’s different every year. We’re open to hiring interns for every agency position (more on those farther down). Some years it’s been 3-4, but others we’ve had a crew of 8. If you’re a fit, we’ll fit you in.
IS THIS A PAID INTERNSHIP?
YES! Interns make a wage of $18 an hour. You’ll also get fun perks like the annual bags tournament, the company picnic, a yoga and cycle studio membership and the occasional breakroom treat.
DOES THIS INTERNSHIP FULFILL A CLASS REQUIREMENT/QUALIFY AS A CLASS CREDIT?
It sure does. Ad Camp is a crash course in all things advertising, so you’ll earn class credit as well as getting paid.
WHAT’S THE APPLICATION AND INTERVIEW PROCESS LIKE?
Submitting an application for Ad Camp is relatively simple. You fill out a couple forms and submit your cover letter and portfolio (if you have one). Applicants will have one guaranteed opportunity (or 20) to strut their stuff at Meet, Greet, Repeat. If we think you’ve got all the right stuff we’ll bring you back for another round. Then, we’ll choose our final Ad Camp finalists.
WHAT IS MEET, GREET, REPEAT?
To put it simply, Meet, Greet, Repeat is like interview speed-dating. Each attendee will have two minutes to chat with L&Sers from multiple disciplines about what makes them the perfect fit for Ad Camp. Consider it your first chance to strut your stuff to the team (and secure a second interview).
DO I NEED TO ATTEND MEET, GREET, REPEAT TO GET AN INTERNSHIP?
If you can’t make it to Meet, Greet, Repeat, we understand. You don’t have to attend to be considered for an internship, but it’s a great opportunity to get to know L&Sers, practice your interview skills and make impressions beyond what’s on your application. If you can’t make interviews, you can always drop by our 4 p.m. social.
HOW DO I KNOW WHAT POSITION IS RIGHT FOR ME?
We want you to get a little taste of everything, but ultimately, you’ll be paired with a position that suits your strengths. To help you figure out what discipline floats your boat (or canoe), we’ve got a couple resources:
- Tune into our Campfire Stories podcast for a Q&A with an Ad Camper turned full-timer for each discipline.
- Watch our series of virtual internship lessons with deeper dives and exercises for each position. These are available to anyone, anytime for free.
- Read up on some past intern experience articles, all posted to our blog.
