Brake Design Engineer Internship
General Responsibilities:
Support internal project studies for design or testing engineering.
Job Responsibilities: The main duties and responsibilities include the following:

Lead technical activities:
- Manage one or several mechanical product solutions in an application project (or acquisition) on spec, on time and on cost provide application cost and development planning during acquisition phase
- Design the initial product CAD model during project acquisition phase and monitor the design changes along the project development. Insure the necessary tools are documented to meet the design requirements (design guidelines, stack-up, FEA, checklist 3D)
- Coordinate and plan technical activities (internally) in alignment with the project.
- Support and coordination of overall product validation (Performance on bench, NVH and vehicle tests)
- Coordinate sample quantity determination for internal needs
- Authorize delivery of samples to customer
- Maintain specific customer/project knowledge and history
- Represent internally the customer towards plant, suppliers and other stakeholders
- Alert in case of deviation according to internal rules
Project development activities

Ensure technical activities are driven according to internal standards
- In charge of the technical definition according to customer requirements and internal design rules
- Lead the design reviews internally and participate to review with suppliers when necessary's
- Improvement:
- Ensure project technical documentation and other project related documents
- Contribute to product continuous improvement through lessons learn

Qualification & Experience:
- knowledge: Office Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, etc. SAP, Fluent English language.

- Skills: Coordination of multidisciplinary teams, Strategy Understanding & Roll-out, and Managerial Courage
Additionally, the ability to work independently with minimal direction is required as are strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience with PCs and application software, such as MS Office tools is also required.
Education: Student Bachelor/Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
Experience: 1+ years of experience in engineering. Automotive experience preferred
Working conditions:
- Physical Demands: Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Travel: Domestic and international may be required as needed..
