EH&S Co-Op for Regional EHS Manager
General Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the needs of the Regional EH&S Manager for Americas (sites include US, Canada, Mexico & Brazil)
- Coordinate and monitor monthly Regional EH&S meetings
- Coordinate and monitor monthly Contractor Compliance meetings
- Develop Corporate EH&S standards for equipment design requirements
- Update the Corporate Ergonomic design specifications for new, modified and transferred equipment
- Provide assistance to sites in Americas to be certified in ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 (e.g. Georgia, Tennessee)
- Ensure compliance of plant programs, policies, and procedures with respect to Environmental, Health & Safety regulations and Corporate policies and procedures
- Maintain all 14001/45001 standard documents, and other EHS-related documents
- Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) systems, Contractor Database system, STP Compliance and other databases
- Conduct risk assessments
- Conduct weekly safety walks of the labs
- Maintain monthly EH&S metrics
- Administration of audit findings
- Maintain EH&S-related matrices, such as the training matrix
- Facilitate relevant EH&S training, as assigned by the EH&S Lead, or their designee
- Coordinate the site Carbon Neutral team, and maintain documentation of initiatives and projects
- Assist in the developing and implementation of new programs and relevant training presentations
- Administrative duties include setting workers up with relevant personal protective equipment, upload and maintenance of EH&S-related documents
- Back-up for the EH&S Lead
- Perform other duties as requested by the EHS Lead.
- Responsible to protect own health and safety by working in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures
- Responsible for looking for new ways to improve safety, quality and productivity.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Attend monthly EHS, ISO, 5S, and other related activities as assigned by the EH&S Lead
