This is an office-centered position*--you must physically report to one of the duty stations stated in this announcement on a regular basis (location TBD after candidate selected).

Duties
At the entry level of this position, you will:
- Assist in planning, development, and implementation of Environmental Protection Programs. Provide program related technical assistance and advice on data analysis, analytical methods, sampling techniques, pollution control requirements, impacts of pollutants, etc. to federal, state, local and/or tribal agencies.
- Review financial agreements, including grants, cooperative agreements, contracts, and inter-agency agreements, activities related to the initiation, administration, and/or close-out of more complex or difficult financial agreements, including responsibility for monitoring. performance.
- Support program development and implement of outreach initiatives, activities, and communication strategies to state, local and tribal governments, and regulated communities and the public.
- Respond to public and regional inquiries by providing technical support and collaborating with regional cross program teams, as well as with external agencies.
When entering a Federal job at a grade level lower than the highest promotion potential level, you may be promoted to more complex duties and work more independently, as your career progresses. NOTE: Career ladder promotions are not automatic, and all eligibility and qualifications requirements must be met in order to progress to the next grade level.
You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.
