State Park Intern – MK Goddard State Park (College)

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will support interpretive programs, outdoor recreation activities, special events, and various public programs. Utilizing established themes and lesson plans, you will facilitate special activities for park visitors through a range of environmental and outdoor recreation programs that cover diverse subjects such as natural history, historical and cultural events, outdoor recreation, and resource management. Additionally, you will aid in the upkeep of educational and programming equipment, as well as assist with marketing and promotional efforts for the programs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time internship that will run from 5/1/2025 through 8/29/2025
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Internship Requirements:
- Current full-time enrollment in a two-year degree, bachelor’s degree or advanced degree program in one of the following acceptable majors:
- Environmental Science
- Park and Resource Management
- Biology
- An approved major course which includes a qualifying 24 credit hours of study in the physical, biological and environmental sciences may be acceptable.
- Freshman year completed.
- Good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher)
- Pennsylvania residency or enrollment of a Pennsylvania college or university
Additional Requirements:
- This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
