Internship Opportunity: Digital and Creative Marketing Intern

The Southeast Michigan Chamber of Commerce is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Digital and Creative Marketing Intern. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in digital marketing and graphic design while supporting a dynamic organization dedicated to fostering economic growth in Southeast Michigan. This internship is a paid internship, for the correctly qualified applicant and is subject to approval by the Chamber.

Responsibilities:

• Must have extensive Canva experience 
• Create compelling digital ad copies for various mediums including PDFs, flyers, hangers, advertisements in print and online publications, and social media platforms.
• Develop engaging online and social media designs for marketing campaigns, events, and promotional materials.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and execute innovative marketing strategies.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of a consistent brand identity across all marketing channels.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in digital marketing and design.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to craft engaging and effective ad copies.
• Creative mindset with a keen eye for design aesthetics and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
• Enthusiasm for learning and a passion for digital marketing and design.
• Availability for approximately 1-2 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate project needs.
